Hawk takes 3!

3 steals in one game... At that rate, he'd be stealing almost 500 a year. :D

Hawk has continued his torrid pace, batting over .400 the past few weeks.

Unknown power?

Ozzie Hawk, mostly known for his defense and speed, has already put up 5 HRs on the season, more than his career total! Through 31 games, Hawk has a +1.000 OPS and is batting over .400 with the 5 dingers -- truly an MVP type season. If he were to maintain this pace over the course of a season (which is very unlikely), he'd end up with a .404 batting average, 25 home runs, 45 steals, and 20 triples. Can you say MVP? ;)

No one is sure where the power came from, but no one is complaining either!

The Boys Are Hitting!

8 days into the Season, Teddy Ballgame is batting an impressive .346. He's got 18 hits in 12 games, but has lacked some power and because of it, has a sub-800 OPS. I'm sure his stroke will catch fire as the season progresses.

Ozzie Hawk is also doing well -- posting a .341 batting average with a .901 OPS. Although he's not a power hitter, he's already got one round-tripper on the season.

Season is a go

Ballgame broke out of his slump on the 3rd and 4th days of the season, putting up a 2-4 effort in game 3 and a 3-5 effort in game 4. That shot his average all the way up to .313. Hopefully it's the beginning of a nice streak!

Ozzie Hawk got a day of rest on Game 3. To prove his worth to the Coach, he provided a 3-5 effort on the second game of the day. He had 2 runs scored along with a double. It'll be tough for the Coach to sit him if he's hitting .467 for a while.

The Unit hasn't seen any action since Day 1. He eagerly awaits his next turn from the bullpen.

Depressing for Teddy; other fare well

Teddy Ballgame has begun the season in an abysmal 0-7 slump.

Hawk is batting .400 with a triple and SB after two games.

The Unit pitched 3 scoreless innings of one-hit ball, earning him the save in a 5-1 victory on opening day.
